The Rembrandt Hotel is one of the original pubs on Canal Street and one of the first gay bars in the Village. It has a loyal following amongst locals and visitors alike stretching back many years. After losing its way in recent years, the Rembrandt came under new management in August 2010 and has since undergone a complete refurbishment to update it for the 21st century. The premises now comprises 3 levels – The Rem Bar, Belinda Scandal’s Showbar and the Rem Hotel.
The Rem Bar is situated on the ground level and is accessed from the Canal Street entrance. It has been restored to a modern, friendly bar for gay and bisexual men to meet, chat and cruise.
Belinda Scandal’s Showbar is situated on the first floor and is accessed from Sackville Street. The showbar provides an exciting new venue for guys and girls to enjoy a party atmosphere with live entertainment 5 nights a week.
The Rem Hotel is situated on the top level of the building. Completely modernised and refurbished, the hotel has 6 comfortable double rooms and enables guests to enjoy a central location for all that the Village and Canal Street has to offer.
